The Oklahoma chapter is a state affiliate of the national Conservative Baptist Network formed in February 2020 to bring positive, biblical solutions that strengthen the SBC in an effort to fulfill the Great Commission and influence culture.

James Biesiadecki

James Biesiadecki was raised in Biloxi, Miss., and Atlanta, Ga., and settled in Oklahoma via the U.S. Army. After serving in the U.S. Army in Desert Storm and Shield, James went on to complete his bachelor’s degree at Cameron University and then attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his master’s degree in biblical languages. Biesiadecki has served as associate pastor at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, held a career missionary appointment with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, and was the founding pastor of Promised Land Baptist Church in Creedmoor, N.C.

Dr. Michael Cox came to First Baptist Church of Pryor from West Lynchburg Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Va., where he served from 2003 to 2008. He has also served as Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Inola, Okla., Lakeview Southern Baptist Church in Skiatook, Okla., First Baptist Church of Boynton, Okla., Oak Street Baptist Church in Cushing, Okla., and Trinity Baptist Church in Keefeton, Okla.. He has preached an evangelistic crusade in Dominica, West Indies, under the auspices of the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, as well as a several Bible conferences and revivals in Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Texas.

Ronnie W. Rogers

Ronnie W. Rogers has been a pastor for more than 35 years and is a founding member of the Conservative Baptist Network. He is a published author and has served as chairman of the Committee on Nominations of the Southern Baptist Convention; chairman of the Board of Trustees for Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; president of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention; and a member of the Committee on Committees of the Southern Baptist Convention. Rogers also presented papers on four occasions between 2004 and 2013 at the Oxford Round Table meeting in Oxford England (now called the Oxford International Round Table Symposiums).  He holds a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Criswell College and a master’s degree in counseling from Henderson State University.

Bill Ascol

Bill Ascol began his ministry at Bethel Baptist Church in September 2005 after 28 years ministering in Louisiana Baptist churches. He is a former vice president of the Executive Board of the Louisiana Baptist Convention as well as a former president of the Louisiana Baptist Pastors’ Conference. He served as the chairman of the board of Founders Ministries and is the coordinator of the Saved By Faith Youth Challenge Camps for young people. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Scott Patton is the senior pastor at Indiahoma First Baptist Church, founder and CEO of the Gold Bold Network, and a steward of Iron Eagle Ranch. Patton is a retired Full Bird Colonel and 28-year Army veteran, having served in multiple combat tours in Iraq as well as operations in South Korea and NATO operations in Eastern Europe. He was one of the original pioneers of U.S. Army Drone Defense and an early advocate of Multi-Domain Operations. He is also the original founder of the first Maneuver Fires Integrated Experiment (MFIX).

Oklahoma Baptist leaders announce Conservative Baptist Network state chapter

BARTLESVILLE, Okla.—The Conservative Baptist Network continues to gain momentum across the United States, announcing May 25th the launch of a new state chapter representing Oklahoma. 

Leading the Oklahoma chapter as its coordinator is James Biesiadecki, senior pastor of First Baptist Church Bartlesville. Biesiadecki has a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, has served with the International Mission Board in Central Asia, has planted churches, and has served in partnerships in church planting, missions, and various capacities in rural and urban settings. He served on the board of directors of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma from 2015-2021 and has been a balanced voice of spiritual leadership in church and convention matters.
