The Louisiana Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists voted unanimously to align with the Conservative Baptist Network in a Jan. 18 meeting, the Baptist Message reported in a Jan. 21 news article. Of the 15-member body, all 12 members present at the group’s annual meeting voted to approve the motion.

“We share the same approach to evangelism and theology as the Conservative Baptist Network,” LACOSBE President Gary Bowlin told the Baptist Message. “The evangelists in our organization want to continue to reach the lost and want to join arms with the Conservative Baptist Network to accomplish that mission Christ has given us.”
